Kachina Wetlands Means BIRDS
Saturday June 19th
7 -9:30 am

Kachina Wetlands is beautiful and birdy in July, especially after a good monsoon rain. Come join biologist Harry Jones, a topnotch birder who will help you see and hear scores of species and  will provide fascinating information about their behavior and ecology.

Meet at the entrance to Kachina Wetlands at 7 am. Please bring binoculars if you have them, along with water, a hat, and sunscreen. The walk will be about two miles over flat terrain on packed dirt. Wheelchair accessible. No bathrooms, so plan accordingly.

Directions: From Flagstaff, take 1-17 south to the Kachina Village exit. Immediately turn right onto Tovar Trail and follow it for a mile to the end. Turn right into an unpaved parking area.

Any questions, contact Harry Jones at hjones@birdpop.org
