Be the Voice for Birds

Protecting birds and habitats across Northern Arizona since 1972.

Join us

Our mission: To engage people in appreciating and protecting birds and the places they need.

Why Birds Need a Voice

Nearly 3 billion birds lost globally since 1970.

Over half of all U.S. bird species are in decline.

Nearly 50% of aridland bird habitat in the western U.S. lost since 1968.

Northern Arizona sits at a critical crossroads for migratory birds. Without local action, these losses will continue.

Birds Start at Home

Healthy bird populations depend on healthy habitats—and some of the most important habitats are in our own backyards. Native plants provide birds with the food, shelter, and nesting sites they need to survive, especially as natural landscapes continue to disappear. By choosing bird-friendly plants and creating welcoming spaces, gardens of all sizes can become vital refuges for birds throughout the year.

Through our Plants for Birds work and community efforts like the Yardies, we help people turn yards, schools, and shared spaces into places where birds can thrive.

Join us in educating people, maintaining habitats that birds need, creating opportunities for the next generation of bird conservationists, and being the voice for birds in Northern Arizona.
