Bubbling Ponds Dedication

More than two years of work at Bubbling Ponds Preserve came to a wonderful climax on Saturday, May 7th,. It was a big day for Northern Arizona Audubon Society.
NAAS, with our partner Arizona Game and Fish, dedicated the Bubbling Ponds Preserve and the Anita Macfarlane Ramada.
There were speakers, ribbon cuttings, and bird walks and we had a crowd of approximately 60 people from all over Arizona.

We had good representation from the NAAS Board: Matt Crozier (President), Julie Wills, Sue Ordway, Dennis Tomko, Suzy Clemmenz, Kristine Follett, Phyllis Kegley, and Dena Greenwood who dedicated the Ramada, and Brent Bitz who dedicated the Preserve attended.

Everyone gathered in front of the Ramada sign and listened to our speakers and were very attentive in spite of a cold wind. Coffee and pastries were served and most people stayed and socialized for a while. Two bird walks – by Dena and then Rich Armstrong – were offered and well attended.

Yes, indeed, it was a great day for NAAS.
