Business for Birds
Business for Birds is a Northern Arizona Audubon Society program that enhances our Chapter’s relationship with a select group of businesses. Participating businesses support our mission of promoting the understanding and appreciation of birds and other wildlife and the conservation and restoration of their natural habitats.
Please support these businesses as they have shown a commitment to both our Audubon Chapter and our values of conservation.
All of the monies raised by this program will be used to help fund such NAAS education and conservation programs as:
· Restoring and maintaining bird habitats such as Bubbling Ponds at Page Springs Hatchery in the Verde Valley and Rio de Flag in Flagstaff.
· Continuing efforts to identify and protect such Important Bird Areas (IBA) as Anderson Mesa near Flagstaff and Lower Oak Creek Canyon.

With two stores, conveniently located in Prescott and Sedona, Jay’s is able to meet all your birding needs. We have a full line of binoculars, feeders, hats and many other accessories. Our bird seed mixes are specifically designed for our northern Arizona habitat.
In addition to being a full line store, we offer regular birding walks which are available to both residents and visitors alike. We love to provide knowledgeable advice on local birding conditions so don’t hesitate to drop into either store and say “hello”.
SOLIPASO TOURS and El Pedregal Nature Lodge
Solipaso is a small, owner-operated bird watching tour company offering small group, high quality birding trips to avian rich states of Mexico. David and Jennifer Mackay, the owners of Solipaso, have lived and worked in Alamos, Sonora, Mexico for 17 years and enjoy sharing our love of this dynamic country with our guests. We personally research, plan and lead all of our trips and our guests receive a very custom experience. We love Mexico and it shows! We speak fluent Spanish and have in-depth knowledge of the history, the culture, the people and the natural world. On our trips, we like to combine great birding and botanizing with cultural insight. On some days we’ll be in the field birding and also get to visit ruins, markets and others places of interest. We seek out the best places to stay and eat because we love to enjoy great meals. Our trips are well-paced and lots of fun! We also offer custom itineraries for groups of 2 to 20. In the colonial village of Alamos, we run the beautiful El Pedregal Nature Lodge and Retreat Center, an oasis in the tropical deciduous forest. El Pedregal is situated on 20 acres of great habitat, with wonderfully comfortable lodging, delicious food, walking trails, bird feeders and lots of tranquility. On all of our Solipaso trips to Sonora, our trips stay at El Pedregal. In everything we do, we strive for the best, most genuine experience for our guests.
