California Condors by John Sherman

Condor 441, a 7-year old male shows the distinct purple, yellow, orange and pink face and neck skin of an adult of breeding age. The skin tones can become even more intense during courtship or displays of aggression.

In 2014, Flagstaff wildlife photographer John “Verm” Sherman embarked on a quixotic but determined mission not just to photograph condors in the wild, but to photograph every individual condor in the Arizona/Utah population.  Is Verm a delusional wingnut or an inspired sub-genius?  Will he ever meet his White Whale, Condor #203?  Join us and find out the answers to these questions plus a lot of cool facts about one of the rarest birds in the world. Flagstaff Tues. Sept. 24, 7:00 pm and Sedona Wed. Sept. 25 6:00 pm.
